Roots, Renewal, Revival

This message takes us deep into the meaning of covenant, faith, and renewal—rooted in ancient Scripture and alive for us today. 🌱

Drawing from the agricultural rhythms of ancient Israel, we explore how practices like redistributing surplus to the poor and offering first fruits weren’t just farming techniques—they were bold acts of trust in God’s promises. These timeless principles invite us to examine how we live as covenant-rooted believers in every season of life.

The teaching beautifully connects God’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 12 to Paul’s imagery in Romans 11, where Gentiles are grafted into the olive tree—sharing in the same nourishing root that sustained Abraham’s faith. Through powerful personal testimony about first-fruit giving and unexpected provision, we’re reminded that God multiplies what is sown in faith, just as He did when Joseph returned money to his brothers’ sacks alongside the grain they purchased.

This message challenges us to reflect honestly:

• Are we allowing Scripture to transform us, or filtering it through our own assumptions?

• Are we sowing generously or holding tightly to what we have?

• Is our spiritual soil fertile, shallow, or rocky?

As we move from winter’s dormancy into spring’s promise, this teaching reminds us that covenant-faithful living produces fruit—even when circumstances appear barren.
